This weekend my boyfriend and I travelled to Stafford for the opening of the RPS Exhibition. I posted recently about being chosen as a finalist in the competition and having my photo included in the exhibition, which tours the UK over the next year.
We attended the private view which, despite the heat, was a brilliant night. The exhibition looked fantastic, I was really impressed with the curation as it must have been difficult putting together so many different images, but they all worked together really well. All of the photographs included were of a high standard and featured all different genres of photography, taken by photographers across the world.
We went back the next day to be able to properly look at all the imagery, as it was very crowded the night before. This also gave us a chance to meet some of the other photographers involved.
I love exhibiting and it was a pleasure being involved in this, as a photographer it is interesting to stand back and listen to what others say about your work.. I was pleased with the feedback I received, yet also surprised by how many people thought the model in my photo was wearing a wig!
All the details about the exhibition, and all the images, can be seen on the Royal Photographic Society's Website.
